The Christmas celebration at Nazareth School, Balmatta, Mangaluru, was conducted with grandeur and enthusiasm on 23rd December 2024, marking the culmination of a week-long series of festive competitions such as card-making, star-making, carol singing, and crib decoration.
The program began with a soul-stirring prayer song, creating an atmosphere of reverence and joy. This was followed by a warm welcome address by Stacy Maria Alivera, who extended heartfelt greetings and outlined the day’s highlights.
The event showcased the extraordinary talents of the students through a variety of performances. The Grade 4 students captivated the audience with an energetic Christmas dance that embodied the festive spirit. A thoughtfully staged Nativity Tableau brought the story of Jesus Christ’s birth to life, reminding everyone of the true meaning of Christmas.
The Carol singing segment, featuring melodious and harmonizing voices, created a sense of unity and celebration. The much-awaited arrival of Santa Claus added to the excitement, as he spread joy and distributed goodies, bringing smiles to the children’s faces.
The event also recognized and celebrated the winners of the week-long competitions. Prizes were distributed to the second and third prize winners, honoring their creativity, hard work, and dedication.
The Correspondent, Sr. Alphonsa Celine, delivered an inspiring Christmas message, emphasizing the values of love, sharing, and hope, which are central to the festive season.
The program concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Princia Siona Pereira, expressing gratitude to all who contributed to the success of the event. The celebration was seamlessly hosted by Christen John Fernandes and Privisha Gia Dsouza, whose lively compering kept the audience engaged throughout.
