On October 25, 2024, the Grade 8 students of Nazareth School, Balmatta, set out for a fun-filled and educational picnic to Hasta Shilpa Heritage Village and TinTon Amusement Park in Kundapura. The purpose of the trip was to provide students with a balanced experience of cultural heritage and recreation, fostering their appreciation for art, architecture, and historical preservation while giving them time to enjoy leisure activities with their classmates.

Hasta Shilpa Heritage Village: The first stop was Hasta Shilpa Heritage Village, a remarkable heritage site that showcases Karnataka’s rich history and architectural marvels. Students were guided through various structures, each representing the cultural diversity and architectural styles of different periods in Karnataka’s history. The students explored the restored traditional homes, ancient temples, and public buildings, gaining insight into the lives and traditions of people in the bygone eras. This immersive experience sparked curiosity and allowed the students to ask questions about history, art, and cultural preservation.

Lunch Break: After the enlightening tour of the heritage village, everyone gathered for a lunch break, where they enjoyed a variety of delicious snacks and meals prepared for the day. This time also allowed students to unwind, share their thoughts on the heritage site, and capture memories with their friends through photos.

TinTon Amusement Park: In the afternoon, students visited TinTon Amusement Park, where they enjoyed thrilling rides and games, a refreshing change after the educational tour. From roller coasters to water rides, the park provided the perfect setting for students to bond with one another and enjoy the adventure. The joy and laughter around the park highlighted the spirit of togetherness and allowed students to relax after a busy term.
