Children's Day was celebrated at Nazareth School with enthusiasm. The students from Pre-Kg to 10thclasses participated in the programme. Celebration began with a prayer song, by teachers. It was followed by lighting of the lamp by the dignitaries. Teacher gave the glimpses of the importance of the day. Behalf of the entire Nazareth fraternity,the dignitaries on the dais offer the flowers to the portrait of the Jawaharlal Nehru to commemorate this special day.
The chief guest along with other sisters honoured the prize winners with a trophy and a certificate, children those who bagged the prizes in various competitions conducted and organised by the school. Then the chief guest, Mrs. Lynett Castelino, the Retired Police officer, addressed the children on the occasion. She told the students about Nehru and his love for the children. Nehru loved not only the children of India but of other countries as well.
Rev. Sr. Marceline D’souza, the dynamic principal of the school, presented the memento to the chief guest as a token of love and gratitude. Teachers sang, danced and enacted on stage with a spectacular programme to make the day and children more joyful, cheerful and memorable. Even students had been given chances to perform their colourful dances.
The Programme ended with National Anthem. Everybody enjoyed the programme a lot.
