Dec 6, 2023 : “Khel Sangam” Annual Sports Meet 2023 was celebrated with an electrifying atmosphere and great enthusiasm as students from GradeI to X showcased their talent, dedication, and unparallel sportsmanship. Sport is a great leveller, as there is so much learning one can take from sports. This year, our school’s sports meet transcended expectations, serving as a testament to the importance of sports in our lives and education. Sporting events are not merely contests but a powerful medium to instil values of discipline, perseverance, and teamwork in our students. Beyond promoting physical well-being, they play a pivotal role in character development. The Annual Sports Event – Khel Sangam 2023 embodied these principles, offering our students a platform to harness their potential, both physically and mentally. The day commenced with a spirited opening ceremony, during which our honourable Chief Guest Mr. Subramanya Police Inspector Mangalore Commissioner Office, delivered a motivating speech underscoring the significance of sports in our lives. His words ignited the spirit of sportsmanship and fair play that would pervade the day.

Throughout the event, students participated in a diverse range of competitions that included track and field events, team sports, and individual games. Track events featured exhilarating sprints, long-distance races, and exhilarating relay races that showcased our students’ exceptional speed and agility. Field events such as high jumps, long jumps and shot put left spectators in awe. The team sports (football, throw ball, volleyball, dodge ball, Kabaddi, lagori, tug of war) witnessed intense matches, with students demonstrating remarkable teamwork and sportsmanship. Individual games like chess, shuttle badminton, and table tennis were equally thrilling, revealing the mental acumen of our students.

The closing ceremony was nothing short of spectacular. Trophies and medals were awarded to the champions, and cheers of encouragement and appreciation resounded throughout the venue. The event culminated in a breathtaking fireworks display, leaving everyone in awe. The Annual Sports Meet- Khel Sangam2023 was a resounding success, filled with competition, sportsmanship, and an indomitable school spirit. Beyond promoting physical fitness, such events play a pivotal role in fostering qualities like determination, teamwork, and leadership in our students. It is an integral part of our school’s commitment to providing a holistic education.
